F/T - Academic Librarian - 5 towns College (Dix Hills, NY)

Full–Time Academic Librarian
37.5 hours/week; includes one night shift (1:30–10:00) per week and up to two Friday evening shifts
(11:00–7:00) and Saturdays a month.

Requirements: 
MLS degree from an ALA–accredited institution, technological competency, customer
service–oriented attitude, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, eagerness to work
with a diverse student population.
Candidates with an educational background in Business, Audio Recording, Film/Video Production,
Theatre, or Jazz and Popular Music will be given preference.
Principal Job Responsibilities:
„h Assisting students and faculty with research
„h Collection development
„h Formal and informal Information Literacy instruction
„h Technical services (familiarity with both AACR2 and RDA preferred)
„h Supervising student workers
„h Serve on College committees and share in College governance
„h All other functions generally associated with librarianship
Compensation: $38,000 plus health insurance and 401K. Paid time off after probationary period.
